justin lauria

Justin Lauria is a patrol Lieutenant with the Lincolnwood Police Department and is certified as a Standardized Field Sobriety Test Instructor and a Drug Recognition Expert Instructor. With over 13 years of law enforcement experience, he has dedicated his career to impaired driving enforcement and education. Justin is a graduate of the Northwestern School of Police Staff & Command.

As an experienced instructor with a demonstrated history of working in the law enforcement industry, Justin has trained numerous law enforcement officers in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and Drug Recognition Expert techniques. His expertise in this area has made him a highly respected and sought-after instructor.

At the Lincolnwood Police Department, Justin has been instrumental in developing and implementing impaired driving enforcement programs, and has been recognized for his contributions to public safety. With his extensive experience and qualifications, Justin is well-equipped to provide expert guidance and training in the area of impairment recognition and current drug trends.

 

Adam Carson

Sergeant Adam Carson has been serving as a police officer with the Lake in the Hills Police Department since October 2002, and was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant in 2019. He is a certified Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Instructor, and a graduate of the Northwestern School of Police Staff & Command. With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, Adam has made over 350 DUI arrests and is considered a senior instructor in the State of Illinois.

As a DRE instructor, Adam has developed a deep understanding of the signs and symptoms of drug impairment, as well as the ability to distinguish between impairment and medical conditions. He has shared his expertise with officers and citizens throughout Illinois, and has been recognized by his department, MADD, AAIM, and the State of Illinois for his enforcement efforts.

Adam is actively involved in community safety presentations for different age groups, including teens, women, and seniors. He has represented his police department at the McHenry County Substance Abuse Coalition since 2016 and is on the McHenry County Mental Health Board.

Adam earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. His dedication to law enforcement and community service make him a highly respected and valuable member of the police force.
